Day 6
The line held before the weekend
The hedge fund Melvin Capital has closed their GameStop Position. The losses reported in the billions. Everyone and their grandmother is ananlyzing this thing from every angle. I’m sure you can find better information than anything I can provide here, written by brighter and better minds than mine.
What you probably won’t find out ther is what I’m about to provide you. The link between what is happening at the stock market and Aliens.
Remember a very long time ago in 2019, when Matty Roberts made a meme about storming Area 51. The event went viral and a few days after it had over 4 million people had pledged to “attend”? Fast forward a little and there was two festivals and at least one arrest.
I actually kept that can to commemorate the shenanigans, and also to remind me of what I had just witnessed. What we had all witnessed.
The speed at which the massess can organize and mobilize thanks to a neutral internet.
I remember seeing early stages of this happening in 4chan. At small scale you had board to board raids. A group would go into another board and fill it with specific topics or images. These things where spontanous, organic. There was no logic, rhyme or reason. Follow that same pattern and you would find, at a larger scale, full on operations. Sometimes pure fokery, like trying to convince the media that celebrity xyz had died. Sometimes it was for the good of humanity, like identifying animal abusers.
Things just happened.
So fast forward to 2019, Rachel NV, hours before the scheduled raid time. There are news crews reporting live, there are competing festivals and the base is on alert. This has become real enough that I had friends in the military call me to ask me not to rush the base. Love you guys for caring. I’m also concerned about how crazy you think I actually am. But I digress, the point is the entire world got a really goood look at what those “raids” online translate to in real life.
Governments and data companies are very well aware of what you can do wiht data to manipulate masses. That’s what they do on a daily basis with all the targeted advertisement they spend billions on. Foking billions.
Then one guy, with one keyboard changed that for the enitre world.
Because ALIENS.
One of my favorite sayings is “Many a true word is spoken in jest”.
What do you think was the truth spoken to power in the jest of the #StormArea51 event?
Could it be something along the lines of:
“Hey, we are the two younger generations, and we are hyperinformed, hyperconnected and hypernetworked beyond anything you can understand or control. We are starting to notice a lot of stuff is wrong with the systems. This is usual between generations, but thanks to the internet, a technology that you can’t keep up with, we have began to correct those mistakes and you may not like it. This is however, inevitable. As proof, we will show you how your secret base is a joke to us and we have flexed on it with enough speed and numbers that you have flinched. Now we are going to throw a party”
In many ways, was that not the moment in the movie where the nerds expose the bully’s weakness? Doesn’t that lead to the collapse of the bully’s house of cards?
Fast forward to what’s happening right now. Is this not the logical evolution of protesting the system? Drum circles and molotovs be damned when an army of individuals are redistributing wealth from their toilets and sofas in a week.
This is what happens when we have the ability to communicate and disseminate information, we can move mountains and fight dragons and I hope everyone hears about what happened here, and before this battle is over, “that even a god-king can bleed.”
