Tribute to unconditional companionship.
(But also evidence…)
In my life, I have had the luck of getting to know 3 Rottweilers.
When it comes to the Rotties one and two, I can sincerely say that to me they where more than just pets. These furballs have been true companions, guardians and healers in the way only a loving animal can be.
Guinness was about a year and a half when I brought him home as a rescue. He was trained to work with kids with special needs and was with me for a decade. When he passed away, I was heartbroken.
Athena was a gift given to me shortly after. She was a couple months old and I quickly discovered she had Canine Parvovirus. Her chances of survival where very low, but after a couple weeks at the vet she finally made it home. Not long after, my Goddaugher came into the world and those two became inseparable. They belong together now.
The third one is Malgus… whom I am starting to theorize may actually be some sort of sleeper cell spy planted in my home to distract me. Malgus is clearly two lizards inside a dog costume, and they do not communicate well with each other. I don’t have proof yet, but I wanted it to go on the record. Just in case.
With that said, I want you to meet the best dogs ever, and yes, that includes the emotional terrorist that just moved into my house.

GUINNESS
(2008 – 2015)
- Best Boy EVER. Go ahead, fight me about it.
- Gentle giant at 105lbs.
- Loved his Star Wars toy collection and slept with all of them.
- Missed dearly. (FOK YOU BENEFUL!)

ATHENA
(2015 – )
- Best Girl EVER!
- Guardian to the future President of the United States.
- Will trick you into feeding her at some point.
- Seriously, she’s not hungry.

MALGUS
- Tries really hard to be sort of a Good Boy, usually when convenient.
- Constantly tests kennel for weaknesses to escape like the raptors in Jurassic Park.
- Behaves when no one else but me can see him.
- May actually be two tiny lizard-people inside a dog costume.
I’ve had the fortune to meet all of these amazing puppers. Sweethearts and nut balls, all of them! I’ve been itching to give the scritches to the squirmy set of lizards in puppy form again.
He has gotten so much better since you saw him too. Still a pain in my ass, but he is definitely more social now!
